robodatech. CNC machine kits

Terms and conditions

These terms govern the sale of Roboda CNC machine kits and parts through robodatech.com. Please read the section on what a kit is before you order: it is the part customers are most often surprised by, and it is deliberate.

This page is not yet complete. The highlighted fields below are the seller's registered details and commercial terms. They must be filled in by Roboda and the whole page reviewed by a qualified adviser before this site takes payment. Until then no order can be placed and checkout offers a quote only.

Delete this box once the highlighted fields are filled and the page is approved.

1. Who you are buying from

This site trades as Roboda Robotics at robodatech.com. The selling entity is [OWNER: registered legal entity name], registered at [OWNER: registered address], GSTIN [OWNER: GSTIN].

Grievance officer, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020: [OWNER: name], [OWNER: e-mail], [OWNER: telephone]. The grievance officer acknowledges a complaint within 48 hours and resolves it within one month of receipt.

2. What we sell, and what a kit is

Roboda sells CNC machine kits and the parts they are built from. A kit is not an assembled machine. It arrives as cut, machined and finished components in labelled bags and cartons, and you build it.

Each machine's page states, before you buy: what Roboda has pre-done, what you build, the estimated assembly time, the tools supplied in the kit, and the tools you must already own. Those are part of these terms. A caliper reading 0.02 mm, for example, is not optional on machines whose acceptance checks are made with one — without it you cannot complete the commissioning the specification describes.

Assembly requires no cutting, drilling, welding or soldering. Every hole exists. It does require patience, a bench, and the ability to follow a measurement.

3. Prices, GST and currency

4. Placing an order

An order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we confirm it and take payment. We may decline an order — for example where an item is out of stock, where a price was clearly wrong, or where we cannot deliver to the address given — and if we do, any amount taken is refunded in full.

Some baskets cannot be priced online and are offered as a quote instead. That is an outcome and not a fault: it happens where a consignment exceeds parcel limits, or where an item has no despatch weight recorded. You will be told plainly and given a proper quote from a person.

5. Lead times

Each machine states its own lead time on its page; kits are built to order and typical lead times run from about a week upwards. Lead time is the time before despatch. Transit time is additional and is set out in the shipping policy.

6. Safety, and what you take on

A CNC machine is a machine tool. It has a spinning cutter, moving axes and, on some configurations, a laser. It can cause serious injury. By buying a kit you accept that:

Machines are sold for use by a competent adult. They are not toys and are not supplied for use by children.

7. Warranty

We warrant that goods are free from defects in materials and manufacture for [OWNER: warranty period, e.g. 12 months] from delivery. Where a part fails within that period through no fault of use, we will repair or replace it, or refund it, at our option.

The warranty does not cover:

Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

8. Intellectual property

The designs, drawings, assembly manuals, bills of material and this website are Roboda's. Buying a kit gives you the right to build, use, repair and modify your machine. It does not give you the right to reproduce the design commercially, or to redistribute the manuals or drawings.

9. Liability

We are liable for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for business loss — loss of profit, of production, of contracts or of data. Except where the law does not permit it, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Privacy

We collect only what an order needs: your name, contact details, delivery address and order history. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers. See the privacy policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [OWNER: city] have exclusive jurisdiction, save that a consumer may bring proceedings where the law allows them to.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. This page was last updated on [OWNER: date of approval].
