Shipping policy
We ship across India from Tamil Nadu. Carriage is quoted before you pay, from the real weight and real size of what is in your basket — not a flat fee that quietly overcharges small orders and loses money on large ones.
This page is not yet complete. The rates below are Roboda's own published rates and are indicative: they must be replaced with the contracted courier rate card before this site takes live payments. Transit times are also to be confirmed against that contract.
Delete this box once the rate card is contracted and the page is approved.
1. Where we ship
Anywhere in India. We do not ship internationally at present. Deliveries are made to a street address; we cannot deliver a machine kit to a PO box.
2. What carriage costs
Rates below are per consignment, exclusive of GST, and are read live from the same table the checkout charges from — so this page cannot fall out of step with what you are actually billed.

Volumetric weight
Extrusion is light and long; a 2 m carton takes the space of something far heavier. Carriers charge for whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric weight, and so do we. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in cm, divided by 5000. The checkout shows you both figures and which one it charged, before you pay.
3. Lead time and transit
Two separate periods, and it is worth keeping them apart:
- Lead time is the time to build and pack your order. Kits are built to order, and each machine's page states its own lead time.
- Transit is the time on the road afterwards, typically [OWNER: transit days by zone, from the courier contract].
Parts held in stock despatch faster than kits. We tell you the expected despatch date on your order confirmation, and the tracking reference when it leaves.
4. Large consignments
A machine kit can exceed what a parcel network will carry. Above our parcel limits a consignment moves as freight, and freight is quoted by the carrier for the specific consignment and destination — it is not something we can compute honestly in advance.
Where a basket exceeds those limits, or contains an item with no despatch weight recorded, the checkout says so plainly and offers a quote instead of taking payment. That is an outcome, not an error. We would rather tell you we need to quote than invent a rate no carrier would honour.
5. Packing
Kits ship as one or more cartons with the parts bagged and labelled by assembly stage. The number of cartons and the gross mass are stated on each machine's page before you buy, so you know what is arriving and whether you can carry it.
6. Delivery, damage and shortages
Please check the consignment when it arrives. If a carton is damaged, photograph it before you finish unpacking — that photograph is what settles a carrier claim quickly. Report damage, shortage or a wrong item within the window set out in the refund and cancellation policy, and we will put it right at our cost.
If nobody is available to receive a delivery, the carrier will normally attempt again or hold it locally. Repeated failed deliveries may be returned to us, and the return carriage may be charged.
7. GST on carriage
Carriage is a taxable supply. GST at 18 % applies to the carriage as well as to the goods, and both are shown separately on your invoice and on the checkout total.
