Extrusion and connectors

The aluminium the machines are built from, and the hardware that joins it. Profiles are sold cut to length and priced per millimetre; connectors are listed with the joint drawing that shows how they actually go together. Every strength figure on these pages is one we computed ourselves from the section geometry — and deliberately under-stated. We say by how much.

Aluminium profile, cut to length

6063-T5, anodised natural. Each card shows the true cross-section drawn to scale, the geometry, and the second moment of area and section modulus we computed from it. Open a profile for its full strength table, its deflection chart and the cut-length calculator.

What these strength numbers are, and what they are not

They are ours, computed, and conservative. The section is modelled as its outer shell less the central bore and the four slot voids, with the internal ribs and the T-slot cavity walls treated as absent. That removes real load-bearing metal, so every stiffness figure we publish is an under-estimate: a machine sized from these numbers comes out stiffer than the arithmetic promised, never floppier.

The geometry is the published series standard, not a measurement of a specific supplier's bar. E = 68 900 MPa and yield 214 MPa for 6063-T5. Each profile page states the size of the gap between our computed mass and the series nominal mass, which is the honest measure of how conservative the model is.

    Connectors and fasteners

What fits what. A connector is listed against the slot series it fits, not the profile code, because a 6 mm slot is a 6 mm slot whether it is on a 2020 or a 2080.

Why there is no pull-out rating in that table

Because we have not established one. What limits a T-nut joint is the slot lip splaying and the nut pulling through, not the screw's tensile strength, and that depends on the real lip thickness and temper of the bar in your hand. Publishing a number a customer would bolt a gantry together with, without having pull-tested one, is not something we are willing to do.

    How each joint goes together

Exploded and assembled, with the sequence written out. Pick a connector above to jump to its drawing, or read straight down.

    Ask about a part

Not every line above is priced for online sale. Where we have no current cost reference we say so and quote it properly instead of publishing a number we guessed — a made-up price with a database behind it is still made up. Tell us the part and the quantity and you get a written price, with carriage and GST, from someone who can check the stock.

    Enquiring about

Every profile cut length and every connector is listed, priced or not. Pick something else if what you need is not here.

Optional. Include the country code for numbers outside India.

    How many of that part.

A cut length we do not list, a delivery pincode, a repeat quantity every month — anything that changes the answer. If you need a custom length, say the length in millimetres.
